When you finally take your long - awaited vacation, you may have anticipated it for weeks or months leading up to the time you leave. You've planned and prepared, but you don't know exactly how it will go once you're there. You know enough to look forward to your time of much needed rest and recreation with pleasure.
This is similar to the hope you and I should have for heaven. God reveals just enough about your eternal home to give you something to anticipate with joy and to encourage you to obey. Just has you still have to go to work to earn your vacation in this life, you will still have struggles to work through before you can enter heaven. Everyone dreams of moments of joy and times real rest. God has promised you these things! Are you eager to see what He has planned for you?
WE LIVE WITH GREAT EXPECTATION, AND WE HAVE A PRICELESS INHERITANCE - AN INHERITANCE THAT IS KEPT IN HEAVEN FOR YOU. PURE AND UNDEFILED, BEYOND THE REACH OF CHANGE AND DECAY. AND THROUGH YOUR FAITH, GOD IS PROTECTING YOU BY HIS POWER UNTIL YOU RECEIVE THIS SALVATION, WHICH IS READY TO BE REVEALED ON THE LAST DAY FOR ALL TO SEE. SO BE TRULY GLAD. THERE IS WONDERFUL JOY AHEAD, EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE TO ENDURE MANY TRIALS FOR A LITTLE WHILE.
1 Peter 1:3-6
I am truly looking forward for that day to come. I must confess in the last few days my pain level as increased and still is climbing higher.
However at the end of the passage I liked (laughed) the way Peter sopke of trials. That they only last a little while. Please! Do they really?
Pleass pray with me as I deal with this increasing PAIN
