Then I said to her, "You must live in my house for many days and stop your prostitution. During this time, you will not have sexual intercourse with anyone, not even with me." Hosea 3:3
After this, Gomer is no longer mentioned by Hosea. This is explained in verse four of chapter three.
Gomer's absence and isolation show how God will deal with the constantly rebellious northern kingdom (5:6,15).
I believe that it is very dangerous to rebel against God. Have you or do you know of someone who has rebelled against God?
If we were to rebel from God, like Israel we withdraw from His love and mercy and we would be without hope. Without hope we are truly lost.
Can you recall the days without Christ, when you felt hopeless and lost. Like Israel and us we had to cry out for God's mercy and His love.
Have you been reading Hosea? Why not? Anyway, did you like today's reading? Could you, would you please leave a comment!!
May you be blessed this day.....
