It's an unfortunate reality today that many men and women
in our churches are being swept away by false teachings. Whether it's the
newest self-help guru or another method of “spiritual enlightenment,” many
people simply want to follow another gospel, which is not the Gospel at all.
I think I know why so many Christians fall for everything
that comes along. It's because they've never consciously chosen and made
decisions regarding the convictions of their lives. They've never set up a ‘non-negotiable’
and said, "Here's where I refuse to compromise."
And rather than being governed by the Word of God, these
people are governed by the system of the world and anything it throws at them.
They're susceptible and vulnerable because their commitment has not been made,
and their faith is missing a firm foundation.
It's time we as Christians make commitments to Christ.
It's time today to make the choice to commit and stand on principle when it comes
to not negotiating on our faith. Don't let the world sweep you away. Instead,
stand firmly on the Gospel and you'll never be put to shame!
